With its iconic lighthouse welcoming you upon your arrival, it’s easy to see why Yachting Magazine has named South Haven one of its top ten ports in the world. The South Side Transient Marina is located just inside the breakwater, making harbor entry and departure a breeze. Our marina is well known for its great facilities including bathrooms, showers, laundry, picnic areas, helpful staff and more.
Once you arrive, you’ll see warm, sandy beaches on Lake Michigan, just a short walk from the marina. Step off the docks and become surrounded by Riverfront Park, home of numerous festivals and a Summer staple, riverside concerts every Thursday evening. Just a block away, up the hill from the Marina is downtown South Haven, with over twenty restaurants, shopping, art galleries and more. Also a can't miss is the Harborwalk, which meanders along the harbor from one pierhead, across the drawbridge, and back up the other pier. Peppered throughout the Harborwalk are Historical plaques commemorating South Haven's glory days as the early 20th century's "Catskills of the Midwest."
Our staff is committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible, be it arranging your group’s rendezvous, catching a Spring Line, or just a tip on a good place to go for dinner. Once entering the port, contact marina staff by phone, (269)-637-3171, or radio (VHF 9) and they’ll be happy to direct you to your slip.
Reserve early, as the transient slips at South Haven’s Southside Marina fill up quickly each year. Our transient slips are reserved through the State of Michigan’s reservation system (a link can be found at the bottom of the page). If any transient slips are available at any of our other Marinas, they can be rented by contacting our staff at the Marina.
